Abolish the role of Police and Crime Commissioner in England and Wales

Petition Details

We think that Police and Crime Commissioners are ineffective at ensuring that the public's priorities are being reflected by their respective forces, and should be abolished.

Additional Information

We think the bedrock on which policing in England is based is public consent. We think this is being eroded, and that PCCs have failed to acknowledge or address this. PCCs have been around for over a decade now, but we believe have not fulfilled their role successfully.
