Disregard partner's income for Universal Credit and tax-free childcare

Petition Details

I would like the Government to base entitlements for Universal Credit and tax-free childcare allowances on the income of the individual claimant, and to disregard the income of any partner.

Additional Information

I do not think that the amount of Universal Credit someone receives should take into account their partner's earnings. I also do not think that a partner's income should be considered within eligibility for tax free childcare.
