Petition Action

Protect our Morris Dancers

Additional Information

In light of the announcement that the Dolphin Morris Men are having to cancel a 900 year old Ceremony where they dance from Nottingham to Southwell because of mounting government red tape, the government is urged to modify the law as it relates to this type of Ethnic ceremony and provide funding to pay for the associated costs of staging this type of event.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Not entirely sure what is required here? It also possibly as though it may be something to do with the Local Authority rather than the Government. If you'd like to resubmit, please do, but more detail is required and (as stated) it may not be a matter for the UK Government.
