Petition Action

Pharmaceutical drug shortages in the NHS

Additional Information

We call on the Department of Health to take urgent action to ensure that adequate supplies of prescription drugs are available to NHS patients. We are concerned that pharmacists are having to spend too much time searching for supplies. Drugs should be available within 24 hours of being prescribed.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.

Please see petition - Department of Health should take immediate action to resolve medicine shortages!
