Create a strategy for international student employability to support graduates.
We want the government to allocate resources and enact legislation to ensure equitable employment opportunities for international students. We urge the government to ensure continuance of the Graduate Route visa to provide international students with enough time to secure employment in the UK.
International students contribute £41.9 billion annually to the UK economy.
They bring valuable skills and expertise that can benefit the UK workforce and support industries in need of skilled workers.
They make substantial contributions to knowledge production, and institution-building activities through the infusion of diverse and critical perspectives.
As hosts of international students, the government has a responsibility to ensure their wellbeing and success.
