Petition Action

I would like a box on the bottom of the ballot paper for general elections

Petition Details

The purpose of the government is to look after its people.

This petition would allow the percentage of people disenchanted with the political parties to have their say and to also highlight how many feel this way.

It would not affect the actual general election results in anyway.

Additional Information

The box at the bottom of the ballot paper would not have any affect on the actual results in the general election.
It would be a personal action and one that allows a proper vote to be made.

The first reason is so where a person wants to use their vote they can choose an alternative to either not showing up or crossing through the ballot paper.

The second reason allows the whole country to know what percentage of the UK population are disenchanted with the current group of political parties

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you want to see changes to ballot papers for general elections, but it's not clear how you want these ballot papers to be changed.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
