Petition Action

Announce the unexempt process now

Petition Details

We want the government to announce the unexempt process now as we feed up with being told soon with no timeline in sight

Additional Information

The government put unclear and open to interpretation guidelines with on face of it it looked like the government was
Calling lots of different breeds xl bullies and when people called defra no one could get a clear answer. Now it is clear there are thousands of dogs that should not be in danger as being classed as xl bullies. The government said take precautionary approach as you will be able to take off later if they don’t fall under the new law and months later nothing
This is not good enough

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:

Make the official definition of an XL Bully clearer: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/650385

Set up dog typing stations to identify XL Bully types and issue certificates: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/654015
