Preserve parking access on Armley Town Street, Leeds.
1. Removing or significantly reducing parking spaces could make it difficult for residents to find parking for their vehicles and for customers to access local businesses. This could result in decreased foot traffic and revenue for shops in the area.
2. Could deter customers from frequenting local businesses, leading to a decline in sales and potentially causing some businesses to struggle or even close down. This could have a negative economic impact on the entire community, affecting employment opportunities.
3. Elderly residents/those with mobility issues may rely on nearby parking to access essential services and amenities. Reduced parking availability could make it challenging for them, impacting their quality of life.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about local parking are a matter for the relevant local authority, not the UK Government or Parliament.
You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
You may also be able to petition your local authority directly.
