Petition Action

Reduce pension age

Petition Details

This should be reduced not only to benefit those that have worked the majority of their lives but also to free up jobs for the younger generation.

Additional Information

UK has one of the highest retirement ages in the world.
People have worked the majority of their lives and want to live their older years in a bit of comfort.
It's ok for those who are well off and can have the privilege of retiring at any age and not worry about recieving their state pension.
Why should the average Joe work untill they die?
Keeping the age high also reduces the jobs being freed up for younger generations.
