To link the pay rise for the public sector with the Consumer Price Index (CPI)

Petition Details

Link Pay rise with CPI where lower bandings / Grades get CPI + 2 %

and higher bands get CPI + 0.5 % and

VSM gets CPI% pay rise

in the event of negative CPI, pay remains same

Additional Information

Fair Compensation: ensures that salaries are inline with cost of living, and fair attracting workfare and appreciating services provided.

Political Neutrality: public sector employees are not used as political pawns / campaign issues, and receive fair and consistent treatment regardless of the party in power.

Fiscal discipline - future governments are compelled to consider the economic reality of inflation when planning, preventing public service pay being side-lined or neglected
