Petition Action

Debate the increase of sports subscriptions in the UK, especially football.

Petition Details

Put pressure on companies like sky and BT to reduce the monthly subscription for sports and introduce a monthly cap of £15 to watch all games, not just the select few.

Additional Information

Reduce the costs!! Football as we know it was invented by the working class. The football league, was created by the working class. Now the game is being stolen by the rich so ordinary families can’t watch the football without paying extortionate amounts per month to do so.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about the price of subscriptions to television services are a matter for providers, not the UK Government or Parliament.
