Petition Action

BBC radio 2 keep live djs on air during the night, For night workers, insomniacs & truckers

Additional Information

BBC Radio 2's Alex Lester & Richard Allinson have been entertaining night-shift workers, truckers & insomniacs for years, providing a much-needed form of entertainment and interaction Their show`s,have a fantastic following on all forms of social media.

"They give people a chance to use their imagination & are there during a particularly difficult time of day for some people. .

A recent announcement from the controller of BBC radio2 explained that due to funding cuts there shows would be cut & replaced with repeats. I feel the government should step in & make them review the announcement as their is a large part of the license fee paying public that are affected & that cuts could be made to other shows with little effect to the quality of their output or make certain shows run longer during the day & keep a live dj on during the nights.
