Abellio Greater Anglia customers require a reliable and comfortable service
The service provided to rail passengers by Abellio Greater Anglia must be urgently called in by the Department of Transport and reviewed by representatives of passengers and independent rail experts as well as incumbents to ensure that the track, signals and rolling stock are improved such that they quickly become fit for purpose and with a clear improvement plan to deliver sufficient resilience to ensure rain, leaves, sunshine and signal failures cannot continue to cause the current levels of financial and physical distress to passengers and the business they work for.
Accountable oversight and control of all those responsible for delivering the rail service must be established and if necessary new terms imposed to strongly encourage investment and passenger focused behaviours.
