Abolish Parish Councils
Given the high costs of maintaining the Parish Councils (typically £40,000 per annum) and the numbers of such councils (around 10,000), and the lack of meaningful work for them to do in this day and age, this petition seeks to abolish them after a phased rundown of one year, or such other time as Parliament may decide.
