As an alternative to driver disqualification make them pass an 'Advanced' driver test
When driving offences indicate irresponsible or poor driving instead of banning them, let them continue to drive, but give them a year to pass an Advanced driver test, like the ones run by the IAM or ROSPA.
Instead of stopping them driving with the consequence of some people losing their jobs and claiming benefits; raise their standard of driving.
