Adopt the 'Additional Member System' of voting for the UK general elections

Additional Information

Dear Cabinet Office,

As the Scottish Parliament uses the Additional Member System (AMS) of voting, we feel it is a natural step for Britain to follow and adopt AMS to elect MPs to parliament.

We feel this system is more representative and would elect a more representative and broad range of MPs for the people of Britain.

We understand that AMS is more expensive than first past the post, but it should not matter when democracy is limited under the current system.

Thank you
