FREE SCHOOL MEALS TO ALL PRIMARY CHILDREN
Government have set in place FSM, for Key Stage 1 children from Sept 2014
They say it will improve a pupils concerntration in the afternoon and also improve health, attainment and social cohesion.
So how do we (parents) explain to our older children that apparently if they dont get a balanced dinner, they wont suffer like their siblings nor lose concerntration...how wrong
I propose to the government that ALL primary children should be entitled to FSM, we pay enough for uniforms, activities, snacks, and school trips and the cost is rising.
I now out of choice and also pressure to pay for a SM for my older child, when i dont qualify for FSM, as im £700 over the yearly threshold, so now I will be out of pocket, so that my eldest child will feel and be treated the same as her younger siblings.
How is this justified????
