Couriers used by online retailers
With the increase in online and other distance selling of products there's an increase in the use of couriers and delivery companies.
Currently there is no requirement for a retailer to inform you which company will be used nor give you a choice.
Consequently some purchasers never receive their product or have to waste time chasing for deliveries.
For example you may know that courier A is awful in your area whereas courier B is much better and/or has a depot where you can collect it nearby.
I am proposing a law to be introduced that requires online and other distance selling retailers are required to inform you of the courier/delivery company you will use before you place an order and to be required to give you a choice of two or more.
