CARE AT HOME

Additional Information

PETITION SUMMARY: - CARE AT HOME IN CORNWALL IS CHANGING.

CORNWALL COUNCIL HAS REDUCED DOMICILLARY CARE PROVIDERS IN CORNWALL FROM 105 TO 29 .

THIS MEANS SERVICE USERS WHOSE CARE PROVIDERS WERE UNSUCESSFUL AT TENDER WILL NEED TO MOVE PROVIDER OR OPT FOR A PERSONAL BUDGET THE COUNCIL IS CUTTING FROM £16.28 - £14.50 PER HOUR. THIS WILL LEAVE VULNERABLE ADULTS UNABLE TO AFFORD CARE

VULNERABLE ADULTS IN OUR COMMUNITY MAY LOSE THEIR CARERS WITH WHOM THEY HAVE BUILT UP A RELATIONSHIP OF TRUST AND EXPERIENCED CARERS THAT MAY LOSE THEIR JOBS.

JOIN US TO OPPOSE THE CHANGES - PLEASE SUPPORT THIS PETITION AGAINST THE CUTS WHICH WE HOPE THE COUNCIL WILL RECONSIDER.

WE WOULD LIKE THE GOVERMENT TO LOOK AT THE IMPACT THIS WILL HAVE ON THE INCREASING ELDERLY AND VULNERABLE POPULATION OF CORNWALL AND WHETHER THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO AFFORD CARE WITH THE LIMITED AMOUNT OF PROVIDERS IN THE COUNTY AND THE POSSIBLE LOSS OF JOBS FOR EXPERIENCED CARE WORKERS.
