Petition Action

Reverse British policy and encourage the Palestinian Authority to join the ICC with a request to investigate Gaza

Additional Information

"Bringing military leaders and the politicians who approve their conduct within the “command responsibility” net will be a disincentive to committing further crimes."

Geoffry Robertson QC

On a personal note, as we have watched the unfolding war in Gaza, helpless and weary at witnessing history repeat, I also feel shame at the actions of a previous British government, when as Arthur Koestler put it, "one nation solemnly promised to a second nation the country of a third".

Britain has a duty to take a diplomatic lead. To do and say nothing would be negligent as we remain to this day a significant contributor to this unending conflict. The ICC offers the only prospect for accountability for all parties.
