School holidays in term time review
The current ban needs to be reviewed
- whilst its intentions are honourable,
- it denies responsible parents the opportunity to educate their children with valuable life skills.
This e-petition simply requests responsible parents are not penalised.
We propose guidelines similar to;
1, Holiday entitlement is not given to those undertaking exams.
2, Holiday entitlement is allowed to those with over 95% attendance level.
3, Holiday entitlement between 90-95% is at the discretion of the school
A responsible parent doesn't take their child out of school for no-reason.
A term time holiday should be an opportunity to develop learning into other languages, culture, geography, history, etc.
Due to the economic climate many families find they are unable to take a much needed family holiday due to the inflated costs.
Lets join together to reward responsible parents
