Students rights to equal opportunities

Since living in a homeless hostel where the goal is for you to receive your section 5 -meaning that you are assessed and then you are put forward to getting your own tenancy with GHA and other housing associations.
However if you are a full time student studying a course above NC level you cannot be put forward to be assessed for a section 5 as you would not be in receipt of housing benefit.
I do not believe its fair that young people should be penalised rather than encouraged to continue with education in order to receive a tenancy.

All I ask is that you help petition this case to improve the opportunities for young people living in homeless accommodation with similar circumstances as myself. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
