people with learning/mental health disabilities should always have an appropriate adult with them if they are arrested and interviewed
all people with mental health issues or learning disabilities, regardless of age; if they are arrested should have an appropriate adult with them if they are arrested and later interviewed. Many people with mental health/learning disabilities don't want to appear 'different' to other individuals but do not always have the capacity to fully understand what is being said to them. The government needs to make it a right for these individuals to be listened to and assisted during interview; they should have some form of identification to indicate they are 'special' needs regardless of their age or health issue.
