Bill to Recall PCCs

We call on the Government to meet its obligations on PCC accountability by introducing a bill affording the local electorate the ability to recall their PCC in the wake of a serious breach of public confidence, trust or dereliction of duty.

Should a percentage of the eligible electorate call for a recall, a process should be in place to force a by-election to affirm the incumbent PCCs position, or to elect an immediate successor.
