I have custody of my Grandchildren. My Grandkids were going to be adopted if I did not take action. They are now both 7 and 9 and I am 56. I am now being forced to look for a job under the UK law. I have worked all my life and now because of circumstances have been forced to take on the role of parent to my grandchildren. There is no legislation which accounts for my own and thousands of other Grandparents in my situation. All I ask is for the government to allow me to look after my Grandchildren without penalising me and forcing me to look for work. I am tired enough as it is..
