UK Government Action: "New Guidelines and Legislation to Define a Diagnosis of Pre-Alzheimer's Condition and Support a Flexible Response to it"
Successful early intervention will significantly impact predictions of the cost of supporting an elderly population if those predictions are based upon a large segment of us suffering from dementia. Recognition of pre-Alzheimers 10-15 years before Alzheimer's Dementia means the later stages can be prevented. Without recognition of pre-Alzheimer's, there can be no treatments trialled to show recovery from and prevention of Dementia.
