Petition Action

force cat owners to keep their animals within the boundaries of their own property.

Additional Information

Why should the public be subjected to cats ,owned by others ,defaecating in their gardens? The risk to public health from toxicara cati, especially to children ,who can be infected and blinded , in their own gardens is unacceptable. To have put up gates during warm weather to prevent cats entering the homes of others is unacceptable.Other countries can do it.Why can't the UK protect her own citizens? Dogs don't have the right to roam, although dog owners are generally more responsible and pick up after , and deworm ,their animals. The same rules should apply to cats. They should be kept in the house or trained to stay in their own garden.Cats have become a plague which the non cat owning population are forced to endure.
