Petition Action

The First Minister should resign if he does not have the support of Scotland in the independence referendum

Additional Information

The First Minister, Alex Salmond, should resign from his post as first minister if his flagship policy of Scottish independence is rejected by the people of Scotland in the referendum held on the 18th of September, 2014.
This petition to the Scotland Office is to show the levels of public support against a government which in the case of a no vote would no longer have a legitimate mandate and should therefore seek re-election.
