Graduated Pensions Equality for Working Women 1961-1978 who are now pensioners

Additional Information

During 1961-1978 the Graduated Pension Scheme was in force, everyone whose salary was £9+pw paid into this scheme.

However working women were discriminated against then and now as pensioners.

Men paid £7.50 for one unit of Graduated Pension.

Women paid £9.00 for the exact same one unit.

Graduated Retirement Benefit/Pensions to be recalculated using the same formula of £7.50 for one unit for women and backdated to when they first started receiving their pensions.

To be carried out before the next financial year, or by March 2015.
