September 19 Union National Holiday
On 19th September 2014, it was announced that Scotland voted to stay within the United Kingdom. A Union which also emcompasses the people of England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Together, we are united as one Nation.
In appreciation of the ties that bind us, the ties which Scotland voted to maintain, we ask that Parliament declare 19th September a National holiday every year henceforth. We ask that this holiday be known as Union (or Unity) Day.
