Petition Action

Maximum penalty for police officer caught using her mobile phone while driving

Additional Information

It is important in this time of unprecedented public dissatisfaction with it's police that examples are made and I have found the perfect one for the home office; a police officer was filmed by a cyclist using her mobile phone while driving (registration plate of the police vehicle: BX13 DYP); she refused to give details to the cyclist and tried to leave the scene of the crime.

Given how severe the government treats such criminals it is only fair it applies the maximum penalty to this authority figure including a disqualification from driving and a £1000 fine.
