Nelson McCausland does not represent the arts in Northern Ireland.
With the DUP reshuffle on the 23rd September, Nelson McCausland is now the Department of Culture and Leisure Committee chairman.
After a disastrous tenure as Minister for Social Development, the arts sector in Northern Ireland is deeply concerned with this recent appointment.
McCausland's previous capacity as Minister of Culture, Arts and Leisure won him few fans.
Please sign this petition if you are concerned about the future of the arts in Northern Ireland, and believe that the NI Office should remove McCausland from this role, as he is simply not fit for the position, based on his previous track record with the arts.
With 10,000 signatures the government have to respond, with 100,000 signatures the government have to debate it.
