Change To Proportional Representation Voting System.
First Past The Post is the electoral system currently used for elections to the Westminster Parliament. It does not accurately reflect votes cast and needs replacing with a system of proportional representation. Our current system leaves many feeling their voice is not heard in parliament.
The current first past the post voting system is not a fair system. Many people do not bother to vote because they feel that their vote does not count & if they do vote they do not really have any power to influence the make up of parliament.
Gen Election July 2024 results.
Labour 9.7 m votes 412 seats
Tories 6.8m votes 121 seats
Lib Dems 3.5m votes 72 seats
Reform 4.0m votes 5 seats
