Petition Action

Require a, "no confidence," vote on the ballot for all elections/referendums.

Petition Details

To give the people of the UK the option that no candidate/party/issue on the ballot represents their convictions. A "no confidence" vote should encompass general elections, by-elections, local elections, and referendums.

Additional Information

We think it would make the UK a more representative democracy if the people could have a vote of "no confidence" if no candidate/party/issue was deemed acceptable. We believe this is evidenced by low turnout at the recent general election, 59.7%, the lowest general election turnout since 2001. This figure includes the number of spoilt ballots. We believe a, "no confidence," vote would also be a better alternative for those who vote only against a candidate/party/issue to win.
