Amend the new Tobacco and vape tax increases srt to come into effect in 2026.
The new plans are a significant concern for many. This substantial tax hike could have severe consequences for both consumers and businesses. It may lead to increased illicit trade, a decline in public health initiatives, and potential job losses within the industry
This would add £2.20 to the retail price of a 10 ml bottle of liquid, which usually costs about £5. Add the VAT, and the price would climb to £9.20. a significant price increase especially when you also factor in inflation. There will also by a rise on Tobacco with the same tax being added into the equivalent of 100 cigarettes which is bizarre because 100 cigarettes contains on average 1020mg while a 20mg bottle of liquid only contains 200mg of nicotine
