BRING BACK HUMBERESTONE PARK BONFIRE! LEICESTER
For many years, Humberstone Park Bonfire night was a fantastic free of charge, family event. This was enjoyed by the entire local community and many people coming from far away
In 2013, the LCC decided that they would cut the budget completely
The local children are missing out on one of the great British traditions.
In comparison to other festivities that are funded - £88,000 funding for Diwali with £28,000 put aside for Diwali lights along the Belgrave Road. This is just one example of many different festivities of many types that are funded by the tax payer in Leicester
Humberstone Park bonfire only cost £16,000 per year to put on.
Reinstate the Humberstone Park Bonfire
