Stop inheritance tax on farms
The new tax changes to UK Farms to increase IHT and reduce APR and BPR will force thousands of family farms to be sold. I believe the information data source from the Treasury is incorrect and will impact approx. 70,000 farms rather than the 30% of ‘large landowners’ as reported by the Labour Gov.
Correctly analysis the data and reverse the crippling tax implications on farmers, who already are struggling to make profits, let along pay more tax and significantly impact any future possibility of passing farms to the next generation. It will have significant knock on affects on the food production, rural economy and farmers mental health.
