Petition Action

Ban the sale of fireworks to the general public.

Petition Details

To ban the sale of fireworks to the general public and limit use to that of organised displays.

Additional Information

Fireworks are dangerous weapons which are not always used in their intended way. Although the sale is restricted to 18+, this is not always the case. They are also a cause for concern for young babies, wildlife and household animals who cannot properly process the noise that they create.
Fireworks are not only used on Guy Fawkes night, but for 30+ days at either side of the evening and the effect it has on the local community is unfair.
