Stop the rising costs of university fees
Currently university fees are £9.250 and the government are planning to increase fees to £9.535 which is an increase of £285.This would require students to take out a larger loans and with the cost of living increasing, it will prevent people from achieving higher opportunities within employment.
This new policy will prevent people from perusing a further education as currently there has been a significant drop due to both rising costs and having to take out multiple loans. In 2021, 38.2% went on to further education while in 2023 that decreased to 35.8%.If this policy is introduced this could cause an even more significant drop. This will result in people failing to achieve job opportunities as currently 87.7% of graduates were employed in 2023, compared to and 69.7% of non-graduates.
