Petition Action

Ban/Limit the recreational use of fireworks.

Petition Details

The use of regular fireworks has become excessive.
Fireworks are being let off over a week before and for over a week after events such as bonfire night.
It's an event which is dated, the luxury is being abused and it causes unnecessary stress and harm to pets and wildlife.

Additional Information

Recreational use of fireworks to be banned or limited.
The sale of fireworks over the counter should be limited to silent fireworks only and sparklers etc.
Regular fireworks should only be obtainable for licensed personnel only, rather than to the entire general public - And only in use for specific events.

The harm and stress that events such as bonfire night cause to pets and wildlife is unfair and very pointless.

In a time when the environment is a large focus, this would be positive change
