Hold a Public Inquiry into the Dart Charge system

Petition Details

An investigation has uncovered a series of problems relating to Dart Charge fines and accounts. 2.7 million fines were issued during the first 9 months of 2024, some seemingly in error. Some customers have ended up with bailiffs at their door.

Additional Information

We think the Appeal System is a scandal. The system reportedly kept not taking funds from payment methods people have previously provided. People were shocked to receive fines when they thought the charge was meant to be collected automatically. Many customers are in this predicament and we think it is down to system problems. We think this is great miscarriage of justice and the Government must act.
