Government funding for home-educated children: ensure fair educational support.
We urge the Government to provide financial support to home-educating families, similar to per-pupil school funding. This could help cover educational materials, resources, and extracurricular activities, ensuring equitable access to quality education for all children, regardless of environment.
I believe home-educating families bear the full cost of providing quality education for their children, while some schools receive significant per-pupil funding. This can create financial strain and limits resources for home-educated children. Offering support could promote educational equity, enabling all children to access necessary materials, extracurricular activities, and specialised support, regardless of their educational setting. This change could ensure all children are treated equally.
