Review the rules on suspending SIA licenses

Petition Details

We want the government to review the rules on suspending worker's SIA licenses following an allegation of assault. We believe that licences should not be suspended unless the holder is formally charged with any allegations.

Additional Information

We believe the current SIA suspension guidelines can allow for suspensions that could deny innocent people their right to work. If the police do not charge the licence-holder for an alleged offence, we believe they should have the right to retain their licence, and to provide for themselves and/or their families.
