Petition Action

Introduce breeder licences, a dog database & harsher punishments for dog abuse

Petition Details

We want meaningful reform in the areas of dog ownership, welfare and breeding practices. We propose a database to regulate dog purchases and limit the sale of certain breeds. We also want licences for all dog breeders to help ensure ethical practices.

Additional Information

We think that current welfare rules lack clarity and enforcement, leading to lenient penalties for abuse and neglect. We want increased penalties for the mistreatment of dogs.
