Petition Action

Review the enforcement policy guidance for LAs to protect mobile home owners.

Petition Details

We call on the Government to review its enforcement policy guidance for Local Authorities, associated with the Mobile Homes Act 2013, to strengthen protections for residents living in Park Homes from the malpractices of rogue ownerships.

Additional Information

We believe there is a minority of owner operators of residential mobile home parks who continue to undermine this important semi and retirement housing option, paying little to no regard for prevailing law and regulations. We think that Local Authorities and their partner agencies should be advised to do more to protect the elderly and other vulnerable groups from poorly managed, badly run sites.
