Petition Action

Legally require unanimous jury verdicts for serious offences.

Petition Details

We believe majority jury verdicts can lead to miscarriages of justice.

Additional Information

We think majority jury verdicts can risk unsafe convictions, which should always be proved "beyond reasonable doubt". We believe the principle of jury unanimity should be reinstated for indictable only offences.
