Stop nurseries charging for bank holidays
Stop nurseries charging for bank holidays and any other days like the Christmas period where the nursery is closed.
This is wrong to charge people for childcare where the nursery is not open. Whilst relatively small it should not be normal practice for this to be happening. Childcare can cost around £80 a day with government funding and if you have a child who is in on bank holidays that’s an extra £800+ per year that is charged for a service that is not provided.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
The pricing, and opening times, of privately provided childcare are matters for individual providers and parents, not the UK Government or Parliament.
