Ban plastic food covers such as cling film

Petition Details

We call on the Government to ban plastic food covers such as cling film and encourage people to use reusable alternatives such as beeswax food covers.

Additional Information

I believe that people should use reusable covers because plastic ones take a long amount of time to decompose, which may harm birds, squirrels and other animals who may die from either eating the plastic or being trapped in one. Also, I am concerned that harmful chemicals from plastic covers may leak into the ground and the ocean.
