Introduce basic politics to the national curriculum.
Require schools to teach all students on how politics in the UK works. Include the difference between left and right wing views, different electoral systems such as first past the post and single transferrable vote. Also include how government works - what is a mandate, etc.
This will ensure that everyone has a basic idea on UK politics. It will likely increase voter turnout and it will ensure everyone knows what they are voting for.
