Make all election promises legally binding
To become accountable to the electorate of the United Kingdom as representatives of our parliament by entrenching the obligation to meet those promises as the basis on which MPs are elected to parliament, in the first place.
To stall the growing disconnect between the government and the electorate of the UK, the majority of whom now feel disenfranchised voting on the basis of promises that are unfulfilled. This anomaly is giving governments unfettered authority to impose their will on the very people who voted them into govt based on these promises that have now become totally meaningless. Having a legal obligation will help to remind the govt of their primary objective in representing the people who vote for them.
